Hey Ali, Hope you’re doing well.

Congratulations on your latest single! We absolutely love it.

• Tell us a bit about yourself. Did you always want to be a musician/singer? How did you get into music?
I grew up in Lahore with ambitions to achieve great things in life. I have a strong support system in my family and close friends. For over a decade,  I have been working behind the scenes in the music industry and I was reluctant to share my music publicly. As I have worked with some of the biggest names in the industry that have inspired me to follow my passion for music.

• How has your journey as a musician been? It wasn’t an easy one! Last year when covid turned the world upside down and there wasn’t much happening in the music scene, I left Pakistan and went on a self discovery journey and that's when Do Pal dawned on me.

• Let’s talk about your new song - Do pal; who and what inspired this song?
Over the course of time, I've seen relationships suffer and often lead to individuals speaking ill about someone whom they cherished at one point in their life. This was a reflection not just off of them, but from my own personal experience. This song is close to my heart for more reasons than one.

• What are your expectations from this song?
The song did better than expected. Independent music is a challenge overall, but in Pakistan it's a daunting task. if it wasn't without the support of my peers, I wouldn't have been able to get the feedback I received. In Pakistan, There isn't a strong backing for the music industry, we don't have allocated music channels, Record labels to promote your work, so naturally you're forced to carve your own destiny. When the song was created, I was offered by one of the biggest record labels in India. However, when the information came to surface that the singer is of Pakistani origins, they were forced to back out. But this didn't stop me, in fact, it made me believe in the product and I knew it would strike a few chords in the industry.

• What accomplishments do you see yourself achieving in the next five to 10 years?
I'm working very hard in the studio nowadays. If all goes to plan inshallah, I hope to put out at least 5 albums over the course of the next few years.

• What strengths do you have that you believe make you a great musician?
You need to have a good ear to make good music and God has blessed me with it.

• Do you have any weaknesses that you're actively working to improve on?
I'm a bit of a perfectionist and while you can't have it all, I try to meet my own expectations.

• Which instrument is your favorite to play and why?
Guitar for sure. It brings patience, peace and it strums the right chords of a heart.
 • What is it about music that makes you feel passionate?
It’s so beautiful to see when people relate to your songs, it’s a superpower from God that you can express your feelings through the music you make.
