Production company Global Creatures announced on Thursday that Mr. Luhrmann's renowned and loved movie musical Moulin Rouge will be developed into a stage version. Though the production date, cast, venue and other logistics have yet to be decided for the upcoming musical show, it surely gives us something to look forward to.
Broadway has a long tradition of taking movies and adapting them as stage musicals. Some of the hits include Matilda, The Lion King, Billy Elliott and Hairspray, however, the results have always been mixed. We can't wait to see what Moulin Rouge starring Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor will turn out to be!
