This year around, the designers took a step forward from the usual luxury prĂȘt collections and showcased formals and bridals too, for the first time.
Titled "DAHLIA" Nomi Ansari's 10 outfit collection was one that caught our attention. Inspired by the rich culture of Pakistan and in particular Sindh, the designer looks to none other than his home country for individuality. The collection is rather a journey from the land of traditions, myths and legends that pays homage to conventional clothing whilst adapting a contemporary vision for the modern woman. With each outfit depicting a tale from the Pakistani heritage, we saw a magnificent display of colour palette radiating vibrant hues, vivid prints, exquisite embellishments and intricate details on the ramp- a deliberate attempt by Nomi Ansari to bring imageries to reality. From peplum tops, to voluminous skirts and traditional lenghas, the collection featured an array of ensembles for those who want to play it safe on their wedding day.
Nomi Ansari also appeared on BBC Global for an interview to speak more about this renowned platform.
The designer stayed true to his signature aesthetics as seen at the IPL fashion show that took place on 4th March at Gibson Hall, London. Nomi Ansari showcased his collection amongst leading Indian designers. The collection included peplum cholis, elaborately embroidered and digital printed lenghas, capes, dhaka pajamas in a combination of pastels and vibrant hues.
The diverse colour palette and assortment of outfits with detailed work were sure to please any person who set their eyes on these regal outfits. The designer surely stole the show and we have no doubt why!
