From his early days in Ludhiana to making a name for himself in the international music scene, Inderr’s journey has been a unique blend of passion, perseverance, and reconnecting with his roots. His special relationship with Pakistan, along with his immense talent, has earned him a loyal following, and his fans are eagerly anticipating the success of his latest release, ‘Musafir’. 

 

Inderpreet Singh, popularly known as Inderr, is a rising Punjabi singer who has captivated audiences across the globe with his vibrant music. Born in Ludhiana, India, and currently residing in Vancouver, Canada, Inderr’s breakthrough came with his superhit track ‘Thug Love’. The song's catchy lines, including ‘Chhatiyan te takk ve’ and ‘18 inchi tyre ni ghumde aa billo tere shehar ni’, topped the charts not only in India but also in Pakistan and other regions worldwide. 

 

In particular, Pakistan's love for ‘Thug Love’ was overwhelming, with celebrities and influencers creating millions of reels and videos featuring the song. Inderr has always appreciated the Pakistani audience. Hiis new track, ‘Musafir’, is a song he believes will resonate with listeners just as strongly.

 

A Special Bond with Pakistan

In this interview, Inderr shared insights into his deep connection with the Pakistani audience. When asked about this bond, he revealed that while he was born and raised in Ludhiana, his family's roots trace back to pre-partition Pakistan. His grandparents, who migrated from Punjab, Pakistan, in 1947, often shared stories of their homeland. This history has fostered a strong sense of connection in Inderr, who cherishes the shared cultural heritage between the two regions.

 

A Visit to Pakistan 

Inderr’s relationship with Pakistan isn’t just emotional; he has physically visited the country as well. In 2008, he traveled to Lahore as part of a team representing PCTE Baddowal College for NCBAE College’s cultural festival. This was part of the international cultural event “Ehsaas”. “I participated in singing, plays, and other events, and we received immense love and admiration from the people of Lahore,” he recalled fondly.

 

A Passion for Music

When asked about his musical background, Inderr revealed that his interest in music began during his college years, where he actively participated in cultural events. Despite belonging to a business family, where a music career wasn’t the immediate focus, his passion persisted. It was during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020 that he found the time to rediscover his love for music. The success of ‘Thug Love’, his third track, solidified his decision to pursue music as a full-time career.

 

Future Aspirations

In terms of education, Inderr holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering and has also completed an MBA. However, his heart now lies in creating more music. With immense passion for his craft, Inderr is committed to continuing his musical journey and staying connected with his growing audience across the world.
