Junaid Jamshed, the voice of the youth, died in a tragic plane crash on Wednesday. The face of Pakistan's most iconic pop/rock bands Vital Signs was 51. He left behind a wife, three sons and a daughter. 


Junaid Jamshed and his wife Nayha Jamshed were on board Pakistan International Airlines flight PK-661, that crashed on the way to Islamabad from Chitral. Born on September 3, 1965, he was not just a pop singer but a scholar, a philanthropist and the nation's icon.



The band was launched in 1986 in Rawalpindi.


Junaid Jamshed remained Vital Sign's vocalist till 1998


The instant hit Dil Dil Pakistan was released in 1987


1993- Hit numbers like Atiebar 


First solo album after leaving  Vital Signs


He released his debut religious album, Jalwa-e-Janan in 2005


August 2015: Release of Chand Sitara, a collaboration between Vital Signs and Junoon
