International Women's Day is a day of celebration of women globally. It is one day of the year that recognises and appreciates the value that women bring to their respective communities and collectively to the world, it also highlights the struggles of women who have paved the way for others. Being observed since the early 1900s and now recognised each year on March 8, International Women's Day is not associated with one particular group, but brings together governments, women's organisations , charities and corporations through marches, conferences, talks.
