Prime Minister Imran Khan Will Visit Karachi July 11, Governor Ismail Confirms
The governor said that the traders are willing to pay taxes by they have different ideas as how they want to proceed with it. He also expressed that he hopes that the government and traders will come come to a agreement to resolve their problems. Additionally, Ismail informed that PM Khan will soon announce Rs42.5 billion and Rs5 billion funds which will go towards funding the development of Karachi, which is the epicenter of Pakistan's economy.
Governor Ismail also commented over the traders strike call, saying that strikes won't resolve the root of the problems, and thanked the traders for not going forward with the strike, this comes after traders community in Karachi were going to hold a three-day shutter strike.
Governor Ismail assured the trader's concerns will be addressed with PM Imran on Thursday.
