FAREWELL DINNER HONORING H.E. DR. MEHMET PAÇACI, AMBASSADOR OF THE REPUBLIC OF TÜRKİYE, HOSTED BY SENATOR SALIM SAIFULLAH KHAN

Senator Salim Saifullah Khan, the Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye, recently hosted a farewell dinner in Islamabad to honor H.E. Dr. Mehmet Paçacı, the outgoing Ambassador of Türkiye to Pakistan. Senator Salim Saifullah Khan has played a significant role in fostering strong diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Türkiye, leveraging his position to bridge cultural and political ties between the two nations.

Ambassador Paçacı, who has had a distinguished career in foreign service and academia, presented his credentials in Pakistan in 2022. With a background that includes serving as the Turkish Ambassador to the Holy See and as the Director General of Foreign Relations at Türkiye’s Presidency of Religious Affairs, Ambassador Paçacı has been a prominent advocate against Islamophobia and a voice for the Muslim community on the international stage. 

During his tenure, Ambassador Paçacı contributed significantly to strengthening the bilateral cooperation between Türkiye and Pakistan, reinforcing the long-standing friendship based on mutual respect and shared strategic interests. The farewell event, hosted by Senator Khan, highlighted the collaborative efforts and accomplishments achieved under Ambassador Paçacı’s leadership, underscoring the enduring partnership between the two countries.
