Fawad Khan Nominated For Filmfare Awards

Fawad Khan has been nominated for the 62nd Jio Filmfare Awards 2017 in the Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Male) category for his role in Kapoor & Sons - surely another reason for us to be proud of him for. 

Filmfare shared the list of nominees on their webpage and guess who he is up against? His Kapoor & Sons co-star, Rishi Kapoor. Though this is a tough competition, we surely have our eyes and hearts set on Fawad.

Fawad is the first Pakistani to win the renowned Filmfare award in the Best Male Debut category for his work in Khoobsurat back in 2015.

In the Best Playback Singer (Male) category, Atif Aslam finds himself nominated for Tere Sang Yara (Rustom). He will be up against Rahat Fateh Ali Khan (Jag Ghoomeya - Sultan) for the award, amidst others.

This is Atif and Rahat's fifth nomination for the Filmfare Award in the same category. Atif had been nominated for Jeena Jeena, (Badlapur) in 2016, Tu Jaane Na, (Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani) in 2010, Tere Bin, (Bas Ek Pal) in 2007 and Woh Lamhe Woh Baatein, (Zeher) in 2006.

Rahat, won the Filmfare award in 2011 for his song Dil Toh Bacha Hai, (Ishqiya). His other nominations were for Teri Meri, (Bodyguard) in 2012, Sajdaa, (My Name Is Khan) in 2011 and Aaj Din Chadheya, (Love Aaj Kal) in 2010.

Qurat-ul-Ain Balouch has been nominated in the Best Playback Singer (Female) category for her song 'Kari Kari' in Pink, this is her first time around.
