Hawaii Five-0 is a reboot of the original series which aired on CBS back from 1968 to 1980. The series follows the story of Detective Steve McGarrett, a decorated Naval officer-turned-cop, who returns to Oahu to investigate his father's murder and stays after Hawaii's Governor persuades him to head up a new team on his own terms.
The series has been received well by the audiences and critics globally since the first season went on-air. The show has won a number of awards including the Favorite New Drama at the People’s Choice Awards, USA.
Faran, who has just returned after wrapping up the shoot of the upcoming fifth season of Prison Break (mini-series) said,
“The last 3 months have been fun location wise for me as an actor as I have been shooting for upcoming Prison Break in Vancouver and then Morocco and now will be heading out to beautiful Hawaii for the show Hawaii Five-0".
Tahir has played many pivotal roles in Hollywood blockbusters over the years from Raza, the villain in the Marvel Comics-based Iron Man, to Starfleet Captain Richard Robau in the 2009 film Star Trek. In 2013, Tahir played President Patel in the science-fiction film Elysium.
He has also been a guest star in popular TV series Grey’s Anatomy and How to get away with Murder.
