John Travolta’s Wife Kelly Preston Succumbs to Her Battle with Cancer

Kelly Preston died on July 12 following a two-year battle with breast cancer. She was 57.



‘It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my beautiful wife Kelly has lost her two-year battle with breast cancer,’ wrote John Travolta. ‘She fought a courageous fight with the love and support of so many.’ The couple had been married for nearly 29 years.



She acted in various TV shows but rose to fame after her role in the 1988 Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito comedy, Twins. She was also seen in From Dusk Till Dawn, Jerry Maguire and The Cat in the Hat.







Preston is survived by her husband John and their children: daughter Ella, 20, and 9-year-old son Benjamin. Their older son Jett died at age 16 in January 2009.
