Bollywood has lost yet another actor. Sushant Singh Rajput, a prominent actor in Indian films and television programs, was found dead in his home in Mumbai yesterday.
He was 34. Depression has been cited as the main cause of his death, in what is being confirmed as a tragic suicide. Sushant started his acting career on television, where he was best known for his role as Manav Deshmukh, in Pavitra Rishta, a soap opera that debuted in 2009.
He made his Bollywood debut in 2013 in Kai Po Che. He was best known for his roles in films such as MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, Kedarnath, Sonchiriya and PK to name a few. The news of his untimely death sent shock waves through India’s film industry and his fans all over the world, including Pakistan. Sushant’s most recent appearance was in the 2019 film Drive. He is survived by his father and four older sisters. May his soul rest in peace.
