Noor-e-Sehar Beyond the Grid, Into the Limelight

You built a name as a fashion content creator. What made you take the leap into acting?

While I love creating fashion content, exploring new territories always excites me. I wanted to expand my horizons and explore more creative opportunities.

How has the shift from social media to television been for you? Was it easier or harder than expected?

It has been challenging, but it was not something I wasn’t aware of or prepared for. However, it has been equally rewarding as well.

How did your first acting project come about? Was it planned, or did it happen unexpectedly?

I had received opportunities earlier in my career, but I was still figuring out my professional journey. I started auditioning actively last year, and with the help of my management team, I was fortunate enough to land a debut role that I enjoyed doing.

What’s one thing people assume about you that isn’t true?

Given the profession I am in, people assume I’m extroverted by nature. However, the opposite is quite true.

What’s one personal goal or dream outside of acting that you’re still working on?

I have started taking my health quite seriously in the past year or so. Incorporating sports into my fitness routine is a new goal I am trying to achieve. I like tennis!

If you could play any character, real or fictional, who would it be and why?

I like playing characters closer to reality, so a well-written character, whether fictional or not, would excite me equally.

What’s a personal bucket list item you still haven’t checked off?

I want to experience the Great Migration at Masai Mara - Serengeti.

Has being in front of the camera as a content creator made acting easier, or is it a completely different experience?

It’s a completely different experience, but since I’ve been creating content, I feel acting comes as an extension of it. Being on a set is still new and something I am really enjoying at the moment.

Do you have a daily habit or ritual that keeps you grounded?

Yes, I start my day with a little prayer of gratitude and then go see my cat.

Where do you see yourself in five years? More acting, content creation, or something entirely different?

I’m looking forward to playing many interesting characters on screen for the audience. Personally, I am fascinated by Far Eastern culture and history. I intend to discover more of it.
