Riz Ahmed Offers To Co-Write 'Ms Marvel' Script With Mindy Kaling, Kumail Nanjiani

Pakistani-British Actor Riz Ahmed has offered to write the screenplay for Ms Marvel, the comic featuring Muslim teenage superhero Kamala Khan.

Taking to Twitter, the Venom star roped in Mindy Kaling and the Big Sick famed star Kumail Nanjiani. He wrote, “So when do Marvel Studio want me, Mindy Kaling and Kumail Nanjiani to get started on the MsMarvel screenplay?”

Kaling, responded to the tweet, “Riz! I am obsessed with this comic book, I’ve read them all. I love Kamala Khan.”

Moreover, in a BBC interview, Marvel president Kevin Fiege confirmed that after 2019’s  Captain Marvel, the studio will be planning a  Ms Marvel film. In the Marvel comics, Ms Marvel is inspired by Captain Marvel to become a hero, hence the similarity in the name.
