Dettol Global Handwashing Day: Bringing Awareness and Encouraging Handwashing To Underprivileged Areas
Global Handwashing Day is an annual global advocacy day celebrated on October 15 and is dedicated to creating awareness about the importance of hand-washing with soap through creative, unique ways. Washing hands is the easiest, most effective and affordable way to prevent diseases and save lives each year.

Something as simple as washing your hands with soap can save lives.

And this Global Hand Washing Day, the renowned company,   Dettol engaged children all over Pakistan to send soap to children who don't have the access to it. With their latest campaign Letter for Life, Dettol invited children to send letters made of soap to students in under-privileged areas to Pakistan. The objective of the campaign is to create awareness.

Every letter delivered to the students would have a personalised message, and serve as a reminder for them to wash hands with soap and to protect themselves.

Apart from this initiative, Dettol is also building easily accessible handwashing facilities in over 100 rural schools across Pakistan, and they plan to expand to 1,000 schools by the end of next year.

Dettol's official spokesperson Shaniera Akram and Adnan Siddiqui also made these letters with students.
