In an interview with Hindustan Times, Ranbir said that handling success is easy because everyone around you is only full of praises. “But failure teaches you a lot. It will slap you hard and you won’t even realise it,” he stated.
Speaking of his failures, he added,“be it your family, partner or friends — people who can keep you grounded and comfort you, besides giving you the confidence that it’s just a bend, and not the end.”
“I feel I am just an average actor and a below-average person, who just got great opportunities. Yes, I have confidence in myself that I can do something and that’s why I am successful. Otherwise, I am not saving the world,” Ranbir explained.
Discussing the expectations people have from him after the success of Sanju, he said, “it’s always encouraging that people find that there’s a potential in you, but then you also have to deliver. The idea is to be a part of films, which make a large number of people happy but at the same time, I want to do it my way.”
