The Lost Tribe, quite literally, lit Lahore ablaze with an enchanting restaurant opening. The uniqueness of the restaurant stems from its offering of a cultural and culinary experience, inspired by the intense flavors infused in a lamb-based cuisine. Thought to be spiced according to the methods used by a long-lost tribe, the menu presents a fusion of exotic flavors housed in an ambiance indicative of an ancient city.

Guests stepped into The Lost Tribe for the first time to “rediscover flavors of the past” and be engulfed in a lively atmosphere. Designed with striking elements of tribal influence in both indoor and outdoor spaces, the opening matched the vibe with a wow-factor showcase of Fire-Breathers. The fiery act that mixed danger and beauty was followed by a grand spectacle featuring decorated horses prancing about like in olden times.

The infectiously warm ambiance was further accompanied by multiple burning bonfires that glowed against the textures of traditional dastarkhans- where platforms were arranged to set dishes on low-level tables with cushions for floor seating when served meals. The indoor seating featured wall carvings and colors mimicking those of the ancient city with a direct view of a live kitchen working its magic to prepare a feast like no other.

The oh-so-tasty cuisine was an explosive blend of flavors on an even more extravagant display. Served in decorative thaals across an aisle, mountains of Kabuli Palau Rosh left guests coming back for more. The house specialty of Dumba Dum Pukht was also in full view with its flavorful aroma wafting through the doors. With such an eye-catching presentation, this whole roast lamb served with Afghani rice satiated everyone’s tastebuds.

The fantastic night of culture, intrigue, and distinctive tastes closed with the live performance of Malangaan. As a Tribal Fusion band, soulful voices accompanied with the sounds of a rubab, acoustics, a Cajon, and other instruments of percussion, the mood for the night was perfected as their melodious music floated in and around the restaurant.

All in all, The Lost Tribe sparked a newfound interest in tribal cuisine for all in attendance. The restaurant itself stands for tastes that are foreign yet unparalleled to offerings in Lahore. With an ambiance fit for families, friends, and couples, the food offers something new and exhilarating within each item off the menu. Therefore, what was once the Lost Tribe, has now been rediscovered with a taste and essence like no other!
