Emraan Rajput’s BCW Show Hits All The Right Notes.

We witnessed a unity of gold sherwani’s and decorated suits. We witnessed the queen of the runway show-stop in the most gorgeous way. And we witnessed a powerful message projected through Ahsan Khan holding a sign that showed solidarity with the people of Palestine. The designer genius who brought this all to us was none other than menswear virtuoso Emraan Rajput. 

Emraan Rajput has always been known for leaving his signature through his collaboration with A-listers to continuous collections that up the mark each time. With this being the designer’s ninth showing in BCW, we couldn’t help but note that while he used his platform to spread a message that resonated with all, it was also the night the designer made history as being the first menswear designer to bring 31 pieces to Bridal Couture Week. The biggest number any menswear designer has given till date. 

It was a show that had all of what was needed in a way we needed it to be. From taking on Amna Ilyas to showstop to balancing the ratio of festive wear to western wear suits. From customising every detail to then crafting an affecting way to show solidarity with the people of Palestine. A move that has kept the chatter of his show alive. 

In times where the world feels as though it’s aimlessly progressing, there’s always a chance to use the platform given to get those around to thinking. And that’s exactly what Emraan Rajput did. As always, we can’t wait to see more from him.
