Pakistan lost another icon this year in Amanullah Khan who was also known as the King of Comedy. Amanullah is regarded as one of the best television standup comedians particularly due to his unique style which kept the country entertained for over three decades. He held a world record of performing for 860 consecutive days and nights in an astonishing 2000 theater plays and also received the Pride of Performance award. Amanullah Khan’s first stage performance was a called the ‘One Man Comedy Show’ which he performed at local theatres in Lahore and his first television play was called ‘Sixer’.
