Even in this day and age it’s rare to see a woman on a motorbike in Pakistan and Marina Syed has been challenging stereotypes. Marina started riding a bike for the simplest of reasons; she needed a mode of transport to get to an internship. She went on to found her group ‘Rowdy Riders’ with three other friends and the purpose was to teach young women how to ride so they can achieve mobility and explore their potential to the fullest. Marina will soon be appearing in a film inspired by the tragic motorway rape case which aims to challenge stereotypes about women’s mobility.
