One of Pakistan’s most well-known artists, Shahzia Sikander put what has come to be known as neo-miniature painting on the map. Shahzia’s brilliance led to international recognition and she has exhibited her work at the Renaissance Society, the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden and the Whitney Museum of American Art. Shahzia’s work explores history, politics, and current events, as well as interpersonal themes and as the New York Times describes it, it ‘moves fluidly across boundaries of geography, culture and time.’
