Mahira Khan Shuts Down Haters And Defends Javed Sheikh Over Kissing Controversy

Everyone's favourite, Mahira Khan was awarded Best Actress for her hit Verna at the Lux Style Awards. She was presented the award by Mawra Hocane and Javed Sheikh.

However, there was an awkward moment that got caught on camera, as the Humsafar starlet came on stage to receive her honour. And this of course made headlines everywhere - no surprise there.

It was put up on social media with a caption that read, “Pakistani actress Mahira Khan quite literally turns the other cheek as actor Javed Sheikh tries to kiss her on the cheek at the Lux Style Awards.”

However Mahira has responded to this and we can't agree more,

 

I have just woken up to such silly stuff floating around. It’s good to be aware and have an opinion but for Gods sake don’t use anything and everything to make news. Javed Sheikh of all people! He is a legend and a mentor to all of us in this industry. Would vouch for him always.
