IIFA Weekend is Here and This is What’s Coming Your Way

IIFA 2016 has officially kicked off and will conclude on June 26. This year the awards will be held in the football capital of the world, Madrid. Stars including Sonakshi Sinha, Anil Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan, Fawad Khan and Bipasha Basu have reached Madrid airport, welcomed by fans and city officials.

The IIFA Awards are a set of awards presented annually by the International Indian Film Academy to honour both artistic and technical excellence of professionals in Bollywood.

The 4-day-long extravaganza will comprise of events such as IIFA Rocks/MULA Fest, IIFA Stomp, an exhibition of urban trends and the glorious IIFA Awards.

This year will see Shahid Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar as the hosts of the award ceremony on June 25, whereas Pakistani heart throb Fawad Khan is set to host IIFA rocks’16 a day earlier.

The IIFA Rocks stage will have noted music director-composer-singer Pritam performing with Spanish artists. Other feature performances will include Monali Thakur and Benny Dayal.

The star-studded IIFA Awards Ceremony on Saturday will see live performances by Bollywood stars Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Sonakshi Sinha and recent Hollywood leads, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone.

With 2015’s most noted films including Bajirao Mastani, Bajrangi Bhaijan and Piku in the lead for nominations, this year’s ceremony is set to be eventful.
