The villain of the much famed drama Mann Mayal on Hum TV, Gohar Rasheed, is using the success of the serial in the best way. He has taken the responsibility of doing something for children who deserve the society’s attention by auctioning the clothes worn by his character Mikail in the popular drama.

He has been associated with Karachi Down Syndrome Program since the past two years and he is taking a step forward in creating awareness of the condition in society. By doing something for these children, he wants the community to stop differentiating children with Down’s syndrome from themselves as they are also a part of our country’s future.

“I have been a part of the initiative for a while now and I would not lie, I have been overwhelmed and moved by their work the second I walked into the center for the first time. I was completely drawn towards these children and the way the Karachi Down Syndrome Centre was handling them. It all came down to just giving them love and affection,” Says Gohar.

According to Gohar, he went up to the organisation with the idea of auctioning clothes to generate funds for these kids in order to give back the love he has received for his role.

He believes that Pakistan and Pakistanis have a big heart, we often see them step up in the toughest of times and are known across the world for our philanthropic nature.

This is so important for the sake of Pakistan’s future. These kids are as bright and as intelligent as any other normal kid so we are investing in Pakistani future this way”, he said adding, “Everyone should donate generously, please do donate.”
