The latest Mohsin Naveed Ranjha collection, aptly named Roti Boti which is just in time for the highly awaited religious celebration of Eid-ul-Azha is just that; a collection of menswear that veers away from the typical bland palette with the incorporation of vibrant hues and tones, which are better suited toward the traditional male. This being a festive collection, Roti Boti pieces are crafted using pure luxurious cottons and hand woven jacquards, upon which are exquisite traditional embroideries with resham, kaccha tilla and kamdani works.

The esteemed designer delved into his Punjabi roots, where food is considered a love language, and something that brings people together. He travelled back in time to the days of his childhood spent in the historic, grand city of Lahore, resplendent in its ancient traditions, culture and of course, its deep love for food. Traditional, hearty, savory, sweet food. Having spent his youth in and around the narrow lanes of the old city of Lahore, Mohsin recalled the delicious aromas of phajjay ke paaye and cholay pathooray, and successfully attempted to connect his love for Lahore with the Roti Boti collection.

This is why the campaign revolves around the Old City, with male models dressed in various pieces from the collection, partaking of the traditional delicious dishes, and spending quality time together. The campaign of course, also showcased the myriad of colors featured in this collection’s pieces, from the basic white with exquisitely detailed embroidery, to a bright peach kurta with minimal embroidery, just around the neckline, embodying the MNR essence of catering to a diverse clientele.
