Half Hour With Alicia Khan
When was the very first time you got on the ramp and for whom?
The first time I got on the ramp was in 2016 and that was for Ali Xeeshan’s show.
One piece of advice you would give to aspiring models?
Work hard. Stay positive. Speak for yourselves. Take care of your mental health and stay away from arrogance. I know that’s a huge amount of advice (laughs).
What projects are you currently working on?
Currently I am working with Mohsin Naveed Ranjha, Sana Safinaz and Khaadi.
What would you be if you were not a model?
I would have been a writer.
When you’re not busy modeling, what are some of your favorite things to do?
Spend time with my family and close friends, shopping and watching lots of Netflix. Oh, I love Peaky Blinders!!
Who is your style icon?
I follow Rihanna and Lily Collins.
How would you define your personal style?
Has to be comfy, foremost! Then classy but natural.
What trend will you never get tired of?
Boot-cut pants and long coats.
What trend do you wish will never come back?
Well, I hated the concept of wedge sneakers – as well as those balloon harem pants. Now imagine that together -nightmare, right? (laughs).
What is the best fashion secret you have ever learnt?
To be original. And not just adopt any style because it’s trending.
Your New Year resolution?
To surround myself with positive people. Meditate. And be more available for the people I love.
