Gatorade Sets The Bar High With Pakistan’s First Ever #SweatAThon
Fitness guru Nusrat Hidyatullah took part in leading the way for the participants, bringing up the motivation throughout the boot camp session. The event was hosted by two of our favorite celebrities, the dynamic Khalid Malik and the brilliant Ayesha Omar, presenting all the entertainment we could have asked for. The #SweatAThon closed off with a concert performed by the fan favorite, legendary Pakistani rock group, Strings.
The participation by an enthusiastic crowd showed that Karachites are people who care about health and fitness. This was an opportunity for the people of Karachi to get their blood pumping, their energy up and show off their athletic abilities. Since the city has become more health conscious and is moving toward a more proactive and active lifestyle we were so excited to catch the contestants in action.
The #SweatAThon participants also got a chance to win exciting prizes – Rs. 50,000/- for 1st place, Rs. 30,000/- for 2nd place, Rs. 15,000/- for 3rd place and Nike gift vouchers for the next 30 winners. Several prominent celebrities were present at the event including Umair Jaswal, Sana Javed, Faysal Quraishi, Zarnish Khan, Naveen Waqar, Shazia Naz, Junaid Akram, Haroon Shahid, Abbas Ali Khan, Nimra Khan, Ghana Ali, Raza Jaffri and various other fitness gurus.
As if the marathon wasn’t exciting enough, the Strings performance was really the cherry on top of this epic festival. They introduced some new songs, tailor made for #SweatAThon. They also played some of their classic songs which we were thrilled to hear. We sang our hearts out and loved every minute of it! The event was such a huge success, we are already eagerly waiting for Gatorade to conduct the next #SweatAThon.
