Mehwish Hayat Chosen As One Of Five Muslim Women Breaking Stereotypes By An International Magazine
Pakistani actress Mehwish Hayat joins an illustrious list of change makers, chosen by  The Muslim Vibe magazine and Islamic charity Penny Appeal, of which Mehwish is an ambassador.

She took to Twitter to share the delightful, well deserved news.



This list was released on Women’s Equality Day 2019, which is observed on August 26. The list also includes:

Egyptian athlete, Manal Rostom, who is also the founder of online community Surviving Hijab



Ilhan Omar, who is the member of the US House of Representatives as well as the first woman of colour and the first Somali American to be elected from Minnesota



Linda Sarsour, an American political activist of Palestinian descent, began gaining attention following her protests against police surveillance of American Muslims.



Entrepreneur and activist, Ibtihaj Muhammad is an American sabre fencer on the United States fencing team. She became the first woman to compete for the US wearing a hijab, and the first female Muslim-American to earn a medal at the Olympics.
