‘Load Wedding’ is a Mehwish Hayat and Fahad Mustafa Big Fat Punjabi Wedding blockbuster – the kind of wedding most of us long for, despite the affordability or the fact that it’s even needed in the first place. The film explores the subject of dowry, hence seamlessly conveying a social message alongside flawless humour and a solid storyline.
Fahad Mustafa and Mehwish Hayat are the embodiment of versatility as they effortlessly win our hearts with their performances and palpable romantic interactions. The film is shot in a small town of Punjab and depicts scenarios close to real-life, rendering an authentic flavour, the right measure of hilarity and a captivating plot.
Fahad’s character Raja is from a family easily relatable to the masses, what with their emotional blackmailing every now and then among other controlling tactics. The sarcastic remarks around the house may also sound pretty familiar to many of us!
Shani Arshad has done a good job, having composed five upbeat tracks, two of which are all-out Punjabi in keeping with the theme of the film and on repeat mode lately at desi weddings this season.
The film flaunts the beauty of Punjab – the greenery and breathtaking landscapes that entice viewers to immediately pay a visit to the Land of Five Rivers!
The engaging love story, animated characters, upbeat music and the picturesque locales within our Punjab reeled by filmmakers Nabeel Qureshi and Fizza Ali Meerza manage to really engage the audience.
