‘A Love Letter to Karachi’ Was No Ordinary Performance
The performance led by Joshinder and Sunil Shankar revolves around a story of a newcomer to the city reflecting experiences with powerful music and movements. The music for the show was specially developed and composed Ahsan Bari.
Showing affection to the city of Karachi has become a bit of a fad, and it is truly appreciated when such genuine tributes are paid to the metropolis.
CFTS, a charity registered under the Society's act of 1860, is a non-profit organisation established in 2006 by Chairperson Arshia Khan and President Bashir Chaudhry with the objective of being a voice for children suffering from Guillian - Barre - Syndrome along with other diseases treated at the ICU ward at the NICH. CFTS aims to raise awareness for the disease with the objective of helping patients get the right medical care.
“Serving humanity has always been a key part of my life. For me there is no better satisfaction in life than this," says Chairperson Arshia Khan. “I have always been passionate about helping those who can't help themselves, whether Children First or others. I believe it is because of them that we are who we are, so I feel this is the best way to contribute back to humanity,” she added.
“Our company’s actions and business is guided by our values; and serving humankind is one of them,” said Suhel Umer, the COO of Insync Marketing & Advertising (Pvt.) Ltd., one of the major Sponsors of the event. “We at Insync cherish our role of giving back to the society and InShaAllah shall continue to do so with passion, commitment and responsibility,” he further added.
Going forward, CFTS is rebuilding the entire ward to make a difference in the lives of the effected children. As Nelson Mandela said" there can be no keener revelation of a society's soul than the way in which it treats its children."
