The first thing that comes to our mind when we think of weddings is glamour, extravagance and an unforgettable experience. Now imagine when bridal meets fashion on the ramp, the possibilities are endless. Though, there are many events that cater to the ensuing bridal hoopla, there is little doubt that the most anticipated event of the year is the PFDC L’Oreal Paris Bridal Week (PLBW). The three-day showcase, starting 28 -30 September will take place in Lahore displaying about 18 independent labels inclusive of menswear and women’s wear.

Though PLBW may be the most credible platform of its kind, designers such as Faraz Manan, Khadija Shah, Shehla Chatoor and Sana Safinaz will not be presenting at the show this year.

Showcasing their collections on DAY ONE are: HSY, Sania Maskatiya, Saira Shakira and The House of Kamiar Rokni. The rising talent round will include three emerging bridal designers – Sara Naqvi, Maryam Amjad and Amina Naeem.

This will be followed by Mahgul, Shiza Hassan, Farah & Fatima, SairaRizwan and ShamshaHashwani on DAY TWO.

And concluding the show on DAY THREE are the renowned designer labels of; Nomi Ansari, Zara Shahjahan, Sonia Azhar, Republic by Omar Farooq and Muse.

Interestingly, Ali Xeeshan will be the finale of the final day and this sure gives us something to look forward to with the most outrageous outfits expected on the ramp that will get people talking – whether for good or  bad.

It is safe to say the whole experience and package can only be found at the PLBW and this time around our expectations and hopes have been raised after a conversation with Team L’Oreal Pakistan, media manager, Sohayb Anwar told Hello!,

“For the 6th edition of the annual PFDC L’Oreal Paris Bridal Week 2016 (#PLBW16), L’Oreal Pakistan has partnered with makeup artists, designers and tech experts in a bid to digitalize the event through virtual makeup stations using their signature L’Oreal MakeUp Genius application, an augmented reality dance off with your favorite models, art pieces designed in collaboration with designers Ali Xeeshan and Mahgul as well as deploying a 3D hologram projection – a first for the industry. The event is scheduled to start on the 28th of September in Lahore and will continue for three days at the Falettis Hotel”
