Ivanka Trump Sued for Copying Aquazzura ’s 'Wild Thing' Shoe Design

Italian shoe designer Aquazzura slams Ivanka Trump and her eponymous shoe line for allegedly copying his shoe,Wild Thing with a lawsuit last Tuesday, licensed by Marc Fisher, Trump’s co-defendent accusing of 'repeated infringement' and 'deceptive trade practices.'



Further, The Italian designer behind Aquazzura took over his Instagram to share his thoughts on this copying scandal and wrote:

“One of the most disturbing things in the fashion industry is when someone blatantly steals your copyright designs and doesn't care," the company said in a post on Instagram three months ago. You should know better. Shame on you @ivankatrump! Imitation is NOT the most sincere form of flattery."

Marc Fisher CFO, Matthew Burris called it 'a baseless lawsuit aimed at generating publicity.' He said,

"The shoe in question is representative of a trending fashion style and isn't subject to intellectual property law protection.”
