2016: The Year Of Fashion Revolution

2016 is surely one that will be remembered as the year of change when it comes to fashion. As this year winds down we’ve recapped its highlights to bring you the best of 2016 in the fashion industry.

The First Q-Mobile Hum Style Awards:


The HUM Network launched its very own Style awards this year. From the entertainment industry’s A-listers to fashion and sports icons, the red carpet was graced by some of the biggest names followed by well-choreographed sizzling performances, one after another. Hamza Ali Abbasi was selected as 'Most Stylish Actor - TV', well rewarded for his choice of all-black shalwar kameez.

Pakistani starlets set the red carpet ablaze with their head turning appearances at the nation's first ever film festival. We loved how Mawra Hocane put her best sartorial foot forward by opting for a traditional outfit.

Mukhtaran Mai to walk the ramp at FPW


This year's PFDC L'Oreal Paris Bridal Week was not like any other. Ali Xeeshan dedicated his collection to child marriages and Rozina Munib debuted at FPW with Mukhtaran Mai as her showstopper. The survivor of a gut-wrenching incident of gang-rape in 2002, Mukhtaran Mai following FPW proceeded to meet with potential donors who could assist with the running of her charity that supports battered women and children.

Designers such as Elan, Faraz Manan and Divan'ni opted out of Fashion Week Pakistan to go solo this year.
