From Supermodel to Award Winning Actor - Mikaal Zulfiqar has had it all!
Mikaal and Sara have embellished the house together which is furnished with simple interiors arranged in a way that project elegance. An interesting feature of the house is a trampoline in the backyard where Mikaal often plays with his two daughters. The house is covered in greenery to keep nature close to home, reflecting his simple and easy going temperament. Born and raised in London, Mikaal has impeccable manners, a very courteous personality and is extremely dedicated towards his craft which shows each time we meet him or deal with him. His mad energy paired with his boyish charm in numerous TV serials he has done including Paani Jaisa Pyar, Mohabbat Subh Ka Sitaara Hai and Diyare Dil have earned him coveted awards.
He is planning to take a break from television as he has signed four films this year, one of which includes his home production which stars his wife Sara Isis as the leading lady. Sara is a nutritionist, model, makeup artist and beauty blogger. Mikaal is very excited about the way the music of the film has been composed having roped in Sonu Nigam and Sunidhi Chauhan for the vocals. He will be off to Canada for a month to shoot for one of his films and will start filming his home production in September this year.
We then talked about his Bollywood films where he has worked with veterans such as Naseerudin Shah and Om puri in Shoot on sight (2007) based on the July 2005 London bombings and his cameo in the thriller Baby (2015) starring Akshay Kumar and Anupem kher. He said that it was a great experience working with such great actors and it’s always a good learning experience to work beyond the border.
“The discipline and professionalism they bring on the sets is commendable”, he said.
Mikaal told Hello! that he is in the midst of reading a few scripts and will be finalising on something in Bollywood soon. When asked about his favourite actresses in India and Pakistan, he expressed his admiration for Deepika Padukone and Mahirah Khan.
He has also been the face of UFONE since the past few years for which he recently adopted the look of superman saving Sanam Saeed from falling off a building. He informed us that he will be doing something even more creative for the next one and will also be seen in a fresh new TVC for Lays chips.
