With 2016 came an influx of Pakistani films and the upcoming year holds the same promise. With the Pakistani film industry continuously growing and evolving, some great releases are expected to release in 2017. Here are the top 10 upcoming films that we are looking forward to in the coming year:

Maula Jatt 2 featuring Fawad Khan and Hamza Ali Abbasi in lead roles and the supporting cast being Sanam Jung, Shamoon Abbasi and Adnan Jaffer is to go on floors in 2017.

Chalay Thay Saath that revolves around the life of a young doctor named Reshma stars Syra Shehroz alongside International filmmaker and actor, Kent S Leung as Syra's love interest in the film.

The romantic comedy directed by Umer Adil highlights family values, love and friendship; shot in the Northern areas of Pakistan the film captures the country's scenic beauty,  places and shows a brighter and more positive side of Pakistan.

Pakistan's first superhero film, Ghazi stars the talented Sheheryar Munawar, Syra Shahroz and Humayun Saeed. The action movie is directed by Nadir Shah.

The upcoming romantic comedy directed by Haissam Hussain starring Osman Khalid Butt and Ainy Jaffri is set to release on February 10th, 2017, just in time for Valentine's Day!

Recently renamed from 'Two + Two' to Jhol . The romantic comedy will feature Udaari star Urwa Hocane and the very talented Ali Azmat, Bilal Ashraf, Ayesha Omar amongst many other stars of the film industry.
